Clera, previously known as ViraDerm, is a cold sore treatment invented in Toronto, Canada by plastic surgeon, Dr. Unger. The patented advanced formula is clinically shown to eliminate cold sores in as fast as 2 days. * Aurium acquired the rights to the product and began building the Clera brand seen on shelves today.
Our Work
The product had great potential with the ability to speed up healing and prevent cold sores. Aurium enhanced the brand by introducing a new name, logo, and packaging to enhance brand recognition and shelf presence. The team created marketing aids and launched a website to elevate the e-commerce experience. In 2018, the team launched a successful go-to-market strategy and today, Clera is distributed across all major retailers in Canada.
Outcome
Aurium’s brand management and development resulted in a significant increase in sales margins and in the cold sore market. In the last two years, Clera’s annual growth rate increased by 50%. Additionally, Clera received recognition for the brand’s innovative packaging at the 2019 PAC Canadian Leadership awards. Our team placed silver in the brand marketing category for a new non-food product.
